Susie B - Waking Dream

a recent trip to albuquerque, NM gave me the unexpected chance to work with susie b. her incredible story and the emotional outcome of this shoot are documented in my journal posting here:

Albuquerque

i am holding a rare benefit print sale in an attempt to help susie with some of her mounting medical expenses. i am offering an edition of 12 signed and numbered wet transfer prints of this image and $135 from each print sale will go directly to susie's medical expenses. the prints are stunning and will probably sell out quickly. you can purchase one right now from:

i recently gave a brief presentation in Frederick, MD at a gathering of fine art photographers and models. the content was kind of open and free form, so i put together a slide show of recent works i've shot over the summer. all of the shots were done with a Mamiya RZ67 i bought recently from a friend. although most of my nudes have been shot using various models of digital cameras. though i'm typically labeled by some as a "digital" shooter, my roots in photography go back the days when i shot 35mm black and white film, developed and printed it all in my closet darkroom in Bala Cynwyd, PA. its how i learned about photography and i managed to make some really wonderful prints in that little darkroom.

and now i've come back almost full circle. all the images you'll see in the video below were shot with the Mamiya and I developed all the rolls myself, mostly using Ilford ID-11. most of them i've posted here, but its another experience to watch them in this format.

enjoy and leave some comments if you like!
