Rael in a simple standing pose. Though there is a fair bit of layering to get the contrast and feel just right, her skin remains almost completely un-retouched (a small amount of healing brush was used in PS to remove some minor skin abrasions). honestly, i think it is one of the most beautiful shots i've taken in a long time.

I can see why this shot would inspire a deep and passionate affection, even in the photographer, for the quality of the work. As self-conscious as it may make an artist to have such partisan feelings for pieces of their own creation, sometimes a piece just sort of grabs you by the gut -- and this has that quality. :)

The model has a lot to do with it -- one simply cannot, IMHO, get a truly emotion-stirring photo, the kind that stirs lasting feelings, whether in the photographer or someone else, when working with a model who does not have a strength of character which informs their body language.

Kudos to both you and the model, for creating this simple, strong, and beautifully feminine image. :)
