a while back i tried to work with a concept, using clay dissolved in water and applied to a models skin to produce texture. and while i liked some of the results, i thought i could revisit it with my friend Stephanie Anne and get something fresh. the results exceeded my expectations. shot on Ilford Delta 100 film with my Mamiya RZ67 mounted to a support about 8 feet above the floor.
Really like the texture of the clay--both wet and dry--in this image. Her position almost makes it seem as if she was just created from the primal clay, if you will, the remains of which are smeared about her. Wonderful image.
I love this work on textures, it is interesting because it is also a work on tones and stephanie-Anne elegant body adds much sensuality to that experiment.
Wonderfull photo, I like how she sort of blends in with the background at some points
